Apple Gets Trolled :P

A few days ago, news reports began springing up around the web describing a Chinese device manufacturer that has created its own version of the iPhone 5 from leaked pictures of Apple’s unreleased device. The manufacturer, after producing the device, promptly patented it in China. Not only did they patent the hardware, but they warned Apple that they would sue if Apple released the iPhone 5 in China. It seems like Apple is getting a taste of its own medicine, and feeling what it’s like to be on the defensive side of a lawsuit over design patents. Given that the iPhone 5 is set to be officially unveiled next week, we can only wait and see how this plays out. We’ll see what tricks Apple has up its sleeves for dealing with this unusual situation.
